France Telecom, under the Orange brand, is one of the leading IPTV operators in the world in terms of numbers of subscribers.

Recently, FT has selected Orca and Viaccess to supply the middleware and content discovery platforms and the CAS for the next generation subscription TV service, “NewTV”. FT is progressively migrating its customer base of 3.711 million subscribers to this new platform, powered by Orca’s middleware, RiGHTv. The process is expected to be completed by the end of 2012 and will empower the Orange service to cope with the new challenges of OTT video, multiple screens and unlimited content.

This represents the largest-ever IPTV middleware migration, a process in which 3 different existing services over ADSL, FTTH and hybrid satellite-IP will be converged onto a single unified platform; Orca’s RiGHTv.

Holding 30% of the Swedish market share, with 700K subscribers in Sweden, Boxer TV had launched a new OTT TV service called “Boxer On Demand”.

This Hybrid service, using Hybrid STBs, supports DTT live channels and On Demand content delivered Over-the-Top utilizing the subscribers’ own broadband connection. In order for subscribers to discover relevant content, Boxer chose to integrate recommendations into the User Interface by using COMPASS. 
Boxer is planning to expand this service to Denmark and Finland in the near future.

Under the UNE brand, EPM Telecommunications have launched a highly innovative service. In a few years, they have managed to become the largest IPTV service provider in Latin America despite the fact that Colombia is not considered to be one of the largest TV markets in the region.

Silknet has selected RiGHTv middleware platform and COMPASS content discovery and recommendations platform for Silknet’s subscription TV service. Silk-TV offers a combination of Free-To-Air (FTA) digital channels, high quality subscription channels and new release movies using VOD in standard and high definition. Recognizing that such a variety of content can sometimes overwhelm subscribers, Silknet deployed Orca's unique system for content discovery and recommendations to personalize and enrich the TV experience while generating incremental revenues.

Optimus, initially under the Clix brand, was a pioneer of IPTV, launching in 2003 and constantly innovating since. They have successfully navigated many of the pitfalls that await IPTV operators and are now expanding their services across an ambitious FTTH rollout as well. In March 2010 Orca's Content Discovery solution, COMPASS, was added to the service.

The fetchtv service is available under the fetchtv brand via leading Australian ISP's (Optus, iiNet, Internode etc).
fetchtv offers Free-To-Air (FTA) digital channels, high quality subscription channels, new release pay-per-view movies in Standard and High Definition, interactive and social networking applications, and a highly advanced personal video recorder (PVR).
